HomeSquad – The Musical

A battle of Homeschoolers VS. Public Schoolers. Will and his squad of homeschoolers live a bit of a stereotypical sheltered life. Meanwhile, Colin and his squad of public schoolers live just like, well, public school kids. These two squads have had beef with each other for as long as they can remember, but nobody knows why! When the mayor of their town announces that the city is doing a fundraiser competition, both squads sign up to compete against each other. Whichever team sells the most chocolate bars will win an ultra sick skateboard! Who will win? The Homeschoolers, or the Public Schoolers? Lots of lessons are learned throughout this story as many characters learn to stand up for themselves and each other. Will battles his aging relationship with his brother, Tommy battles constant bullying over his weight, and Samantha battles internal struggles back at home. This musical creates a fantastic message tackling the problems of bullying, stereotypes, and most importantly, accepting others for who they are.
